The Baltimore Homeless Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to tackling food insecurity and offering essential resources to the homeless community in the Baltimore area. Through our pop-up outreach events, we strive to link those in need with crucial services and support to enhance their quality of life.

OUR MISSION
Our mission at Baltimore Homeless Project Inc. is to help individuals and families overcome barriers to stability and independence by providing hosting outreach community initiatives and free services providing hot meals, haircuts, shelter resources, education, and health and wellness initiatives.
LUNCH ON US
The Lunch on Us program aims to build community spirit and support by providing free meals and additional resources like hygiene kits, phones, haircuts, and more to those in need. By leveraging community donations, we strive to ensure no one in our community goes hungry while also creating opportunities for social interaction and mutual support. This program is hosted bi-monthly.

According to Baltimore City's 2024 Point In Time Count, approximately 1,487 people were experiencing homelessness in Baltimore on a single night in January 2024. According to Baltimore City's 2024 Point In Time Count, approximately 1,487 people were experiencing homelessness in Baltimore on a single night in January 2024. In 2024, The Baltimore Homeless Project Inc. has been dedicated to protecting, providing for, and serving the homeless. We've hosted over 10 community initiatives, including our Lunch on Us program and Mobile Meals service, where we provided 1,500 freshly made hot meals, snacks, and drinks to address food insecurity. We also focused on health and wellness by offering 120 free haircuts, distributing over 500 hygiene kits and manicure kits, and providing health resources. Additionally, we handed out over 500 MOHS Shelter Hotline papers and transported 20 homeless individuals to local emergency shelters during code red and purple alerts. We're committed to continuing our mission and efforts to make a difference and help the homeless in our community.

Who We Are
OUR HISTORY
Baltimore Homeless Project Inc was founded in Dec 2019. While in college, Wanye' conceived the idea of initiating a community project aimed at assisting those in need. What began as a modest attempt quickly gained momentum when he shared his vision with his cousin Terence and best friend Jordan, both of whom were enthusiastic and eager to participate. With them backing the idea, Wanye' crafted the project's name, designed its first logo, and organized the first event, setting the stage for its future success. The project's primary goal was not to become a nonprofit organization but to make a meaningful and positive impact within the community by helping others.

Our team consists of dedicated and sincere individuals who are deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. From psychology graduates to outreach workers, we collaborate to offer comprehensive support to our community.

We take pride in collaborating with various local organizations to provide the best possible support to our community. Over the past five years, we have partnered with more than 10 community-based organizations, food caterers, colleges and universities, barbers, healthcare providers, local businesses, and local artists. These partnerships help us expand our reach and make a greater impact in the community.
